OBIEE12c: Unexpected Value May Be Returned When Using "Drill in Place" (Doc ID 2231897.1)

Symptoms

Unexpected Value may be returned when you select "Drill in Place" in Dashboard.

Steps to reproduce using the Sample Sales Lite:

1. Select the following columns to create an analysis.

"Product"."Product Type"
"Product"."Product"
"Base Facts".Revenue"
"Base Facts".Billed Quantity"

2.Go to 'Result Tab' and Select 'Table' > 'Edit View'

3. Set the 'Layout' as follows.

<Columns and Measures>
"Product"."Product"
"Base Facts".Revenue"
"Base Facts".Billed Quantity"

<Table prompts>
"Product"."Product Type"

4. Click Done and Save Analysis.

5. Go to 'Prompts Tab' and Select 'New' > 'Column Prompt' > 'More Columns' > "Product"."Brand".

6. Set the 'New Prompt' as follows.

<New Prompt>
Operator: is equal to / is in
User Input: Choice List

Options:
Choice List Values : All Column Values

-Select the following items.
Enable user to select multiple values
Include "All Column Values" choice in the list

7. Click OK and Save Analysis

8. Create New Dashboard and Add the analysis created from above.

9. Select "Drill in Place" on properties of 'Section' area and Save.

10. Open Dashboard created from above.

11. Select 'Biz Tech' from prompt and Click 'OK'.

12. You can select the following Product Type from the list.  The following list of value is as expected.

- Accessories
- Audio
- Cell Phone
- Smart Phone

13. Select 'Cell Phone' from the list of 'Product Type' and Click 'Return'.

14. Next, Select 'FunPod' from prompt and Click 'OK'.

15. Even though you select 'FunPod', or the other list of value, the same list of value on step#12 returns.

- Accessories
- Audio
- Cell Phone
- Smart Phone


If you select 'FunPod', the following Product Type from list should be returned.

- Camera
- Fixed
- Portable
