Unable To Add Users From Authentication Provider To Roles

While trying to search for user to add to an application role (Managing Application Roles and Application Policies Using Fusion Middleware Control) some accounts are not displayed.  However, the same accounts are displayed on the WLS console (under Security Realm->myrealm->Users and Groups).
