OBIEE 12c: BI Administration Tool Generates Error When Update Row Count (Doc ID 2235446.1)

You have set the tnsnames.ora file for OBIEE 12c Client Tool as described in <Note:2119009.1> and can import the metadata successfully. But when you Update Row Count of the physical tables,

the following error returns.


From the BI Client Tool log file, you can see the ORA-12154 error.

[nQSError: 43093] An error occurred while processing the EXECUTE PHYSICAL statement.
[nQSError: 17001] Oracle Error code: 12154, message: ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified at OCI call OCIServerAttach.
[nQSError: 17014] Could not connect to Oracle database.
