Last updated on SEPTEMBER 26, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle Big Data Discovery - Version 1.2.0.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

When running the "bdd-admin.sh start" or "bdd-admin.sh stop",
these scripts require Weblogic Server Administrator username/password.

You can avoid entering this information manually by running the bdd-admin.sh.
To do this, set "BDD_WLS_USERNAME" and "BDD_WLS_PASSWORD" environment variables.
However, this means BDD_WLS_PASSWORD is stored by clear text.

If you want to avoid the BDD_WLS_PASSWORD with clear text,
This document identifies how to start/stop the BDD without the Weblogic Server Administrator username/password.
