(Doc ID 2237459.1)

Last updated on APRIL 12, 2018

Applies to:

Business Intelligence Server Enterprise Edition - Version 11.1.1.7.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In the Physical layer of the repository (RPD), importing a multidimensional cube (such as Oracle Olap, Oracle Essbase or Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) ), the cube creates sequential physical cube columns names (Keys, Member_Values and Names) in physical hierarchy of a physical dimension. However, adding a new physical hierarchy re-sequences the following physical cube columns names (Keys, Member_Values and Names)

Example:

Before :

Column X
- KEY0#1
-MEMBER_VALUE1

Column Y
- KEY0#2
-MEMBER_VALUE2

After : adding new column

Column X
- KEY0#1
-MEMBER_VALUE1

Column Z------- New Column -------
- KEY0#2
-MEMBER_VALUE2

Column Y
- KEY0#3
-MEMBER_VALUE3
