Error When Opening HFM Applications (Doc ID 2239145.1)

Symptoms

Following a restart of HFM Services, when any/all users attempt to open any HFM application receives the following error. Users can connect via the Application Tool Box, as well as, establish a connection via Smart View.  A restart appears in the logs.  Microsoft IIS shows that GET requests are successfully being processed by the hfm application service pool, however, the POST requests are returned as a 500 error response.
Windows Application Event Logs have began capturing entries as follows:
