Information in this document applies to any platform.
It is frequently asked, how one can install OBIEE 12c in a split configuration with:
- HTTP Servers in DMZ Zone1
- Weblogic Administration Server, managed server, Presentation Server, JavaHost in Zone2,
- OBI Server, Cluster Controller, Scheduler, database in Zone3.
Similar to mimicking this 11g architecture:
server 1, server 2.
Install OBIEE 11g, enterprise mode on server 1
Install on server 2, enterprise mode, select scale out.
server 3, server 4
Install on server 3, enterprise mode, select scale out.
Install on server 4, enterprise mode, select scale out.
Once installation is completed, access EM on server 1, and select the system components you need on each server.
In this case, servers 1 and 2 have JavaHost (OBIJH), Presentation Server (OBIPS)
and servers 3 and 4 have OBI Server (OBI) Cluster Controller (OBICC) and Scheduler (OBISCH)
Zone2 and Zone3 are separated by firewall.
