OBIEE 11g: Save as system wide default for column can't reflect Data Format to filter and filter design window (Doc ID 2259208.1)

Symptoms

Save as system wide default for column can't reflect Data Format to filter (in Criteria tab and result tab) and new filter design window.

 

Symptom 1:

Save as system wide default for column can't reflect Data Format to filter in Criteria tab and result tab.

1.Create analysis on Sample Targets Lite,

Product:Product
Product:Brand Key
Product:Product Sequence

2.set filter Brand Key is equal to / is in  10001

3.change Column Properties of Product Sequence

4.In Data Format tab,Check Override Default Data Format  and set
Treat Numbers As:Number    
Negative Format    :Minus :-123
Decimal Places    :3

  Save as Default.

5.Add new filter on Product Sequence

 

But Data Format is not reflected in new filter screen and filters

6.Check result tab ,change in step 4 is not reflected to to filter in Criteria tab and filter view result tab.

 

 

 

Symptom 2:

While setting Decimal Places to 0, Setting in Data Format can't reflect  to filter in Criteria tab and result tab only, but also conflict with new filter window.

1. You create new table by :

    CREATE TABLE test_table
( s_name char(20),
 s_no NUMBER(7,5));

2. Insert data like below and import to repository:

 'A',10.00001
 'B',10.00004
 'C',10.00005

3. Drag & drop s_no to Criteria tab

4. In Data Format tab, make change like below and and press Save as system wide default for column.:

 

5. Add s_no to new filter,  in new filter screen (middle window), you notice Decimal Places return as 2 like:

 

 

   In filter in Criteria tab, it returns

 

which is same as result tab
