When you used Essbase as the data source and set selection step in hierarchy, expanding dimension members will be linked to other members unexpectedly.

For example,in Analysis, create a simple report and set Selection Step in Hierarchy. Like below:

1. Use 'Products Hierarchy' to create a report.

2. In Result tab, add a selection step with 'Select Members based on Hierarchy' to Keep all members of: Gen1,Product; Gen2,Product; Gen3,Product; Gen4,Product; Gen5,Product levels.

3. Add a selection step on 'Products Hierarchy' to REMOVE one of the member 'THUNDERBALL'.

4. When expanding the hierarchy of 'LIGHTBOLT', the members of the other hierarchy are expanding too.
