Last updated on MAY 19, 2017

Applies to:

Business Intelligence Applications Consumer - Version and later
Oracle Fusion Financials Common Module Cloud Service - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Fusion Applications Release 11 and earlier leveraged the "MCAT" KeyFlexFields segments to derive the Product Category Hierarchy in OBIA for data analytics. Since, "MCAT" KeyFlexFields have been discontinued from Fusion Applications Release 12, it will have an impact on the product Category Hierarchy (W_PROD_CAT_DH) in Data Warehouse in OBIA.

With respect to the changes in Fusion Applications source data, the Segment columns CategoryBasePEOSegment1.. CategoryBasePEOSecment10 in FscmTopModelAM.CatalogAM.CatalogCategoryAssignP1 VO will not have data going forward in Release 12 and the concatenated value of all the segments are stored in the column CategoryBasePEOCategoryCode. The segment columns are used to derive the different levels in W_PROD_CAT_DH. The delimiter used for the concatenation of these values depends on the customer and the same delimiter should be used for specifying category code values for all categories.
