Applies to:Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition - Version 126.96.36.199.0 to 188.8.131.52.180116 [Release 12c to 12g]
Information in this document applies to any platform.
On Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition 12c version,
An external LDAP - BISQLGroupProvider has been configured to retrieve 'Users and Groups' from DB.
After configuring, 'Display Name' and 'Description' of Groups are incorrect when added to Application Role in EM.
Steps for Verifying the issue:
- Created the following groups in DB having Group Name and Description as follows:
|CASE1 test||CASE1 test|
- BISQLGroupProvider is configured in OBIEE 12c.
- The Group Name - 'CASE1' has been added to an Application role in EM.
- Once the group (for e.g., CASE1) is added, 'description' and 'display name' of the group is changed to 'CASE1 test' under Membership. It should be 'CASE1'.
