Essbase Administration Services (EAS) Console Does Not Save Spanish Characters When Saving a Maxl Script or Calc Script (Doc ID 2269212.1)

Last updated on MAY 24, 2017

Applies to:

Hyperion Essbase Administration Services - Version to [Release 11.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

The EAS Console does not display and keep special Spanish characters, i.e. á é í ó ú Á É Í Ó Ú ñ Ñ, after the MaxL or Calc Script is saved to the Administration Server.  Some of the lines are also collapsed.

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps in the EAS Console:

1. Write a MAXL script using the MaxL or Calc Script Editor containing special Spanish characters, for example:   á é í ó ú Á É Í Ó Ú ñ Ñ
2. Save it to "Administration Server" and close it.
3. Open it.  The characters are just ASCII representations, not the original ones.
