OBIEE 12c: Error "nQSError: 69018" Occurred When Testing Cluster Connect (Doc ID 2277944.1)

Symptoms

Error: [nQSError: 69018] Connection succeeded but xxxxxxxxx:xxxxx failed to respond occurred when testing Cluster Connect of System DSN for Oracle BI Server. 

Steps to reproduce the issue:

    1. Launch ODBC Data Source Administrator.
    2. Go to the [System DSN] tab -> [Add]
    3. Check [Clustered DSN] and Add Primary/Secondary Controller information and port

           
    4. Press [Test Cluster Connect].
    5. Error message returns

       e.g.
       [nQSError: 69018] Connection succeeded but xxxxxxxxx:xxxxx failed to respond

           

The message mentions the response from Secondary Controller is failed. ex)Secondary Controller:xx.xxx.xx.48:9508
When you shutdown the Primary Controller (ex. xx.xxx.xx.44:9508), then the response from the Primary Controller failed.

Changes

Checked [Clustered DSN] option when configuring ODBC data source.
