Exalytics and OBIEE - Extra Spaces in Axis Labels on Charts and Graphs Truncated After Upgrade from 11g to 12c (Doc ID 2278149.1)

Symptoms

After upgrading from OBIEE 11g to 12c, (version 12.2.1.1), the horizontal Axis Labels in graphs and charts are removing extra spaces between characters.  Previously, if it was desired to have 5 blank spaces between words, letters or numbers, then five spaces could be added via the space bar.  After the upgrade, no matter how many spaces are added, only one space displays between words, letters or characters.

This problem can occur on any OBIEE environment and is not limited to OBIEE environments on Exalytics.

Changes

 Upgraded to OBIEE 12c.
