Essbase: Smart View Error "Unable to connect to Provider Server" when Connecting to Essbase Server

Unable to connect to the Essbase Server from Smart View.
EPM is deployed as Single Managed Server. In the Weblogic Admin Console Deployments, the Analytic Provider Services (APS) Deployment status is shown as "Failed".
Tried to deploy by selecting APS - Start "Servicing All Requests" in the Weblogic Admin console, got below error:
[HTTP:101216]Servlet: "oracle.webservices.essbase.DatasourceService" failed to preload on startup in Web application: "/essbase-webservices". oracle.webservices.provider.ProviderException: java.lang.RuntimeException: java.lang.NullPointerException at oracle.j2ee.ws.server.provider.ProviderProcessor.configureProviderManagement(ProviderProcessor.java:367) at oracle.j2ee.ws.server.provider.ProviderProcessor.init(ProviderProcessor.java:198)
