Financial Reporting (FR) Reports Combo Charts Do Not Recognize The Line Type Setting And Line Stacked Instead Of Row
Last updated on NOVEMBER 15, 2017
Applies to:
Hyperion BI+ - Version 11.1.2.4.000 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
In Financial Reporting (FR) Reports design through FR Studio, Combo charts do not recognize the Line Type setting.
The basics steps to reproduce are as follows:
1) Build a combo chart
2) Set bars to stack
3) Set lines to rows
Item 3 is where the failure will occur. The graph will show a Stacked line graph instead of a row line graph. All of the editors make these options individually selectable, however the line setting is ignored. The same problem can be produced by setting bars to "ROWS" and lines to "STACK". Therefore, the keywords seem correct, but the problem is that a Combo Graph does not look at LINELINETYPE and instead only looks at the BARGRAPHTYPE for both the Bars and Lines, or there is a variation of LINELINETYPE that controls the LINE. This functionality for a split STACK bar and ROWS line was working in version 11.1.2.3.xxx.
