Hyperion Planning: Cannot Change or Modify an Alias or Member Name in the Account Dimension. (Doc ID 2318859.1)

Symptoms

Environment: 11.1.2.4 Base
IE11 is being used
MS SQL 2012 is being used for all database repositories except Planning.   ******* Planning is using  MS SQL 2014 which is currently not supported for EPM 11.1.2.4 *******
The problem issue is occurring for both Native and MSAD users and both admin and non-admin level users-

The Problem Issue Can Be Reproduced as Follows:

Customer accesses EPM Workspace logged in as Native Admin User.
Within the Account dimension, customer searches for member testmember01
Customer edits (using Pencil icon) testmember01 as follows: Customer changes Account Member testmember01's alias from Subscribers to Subscribers2
When customer clicks on the Save button to save the change to the alias, an onscreen error is thrown as shown below:

On-Screen Error Message
You are trying to change data that has been changed by a user on another server. Wait a few seconds
and try again. If you continue to see this error message, please contact yor administrator.

Customer reports also that: "We are able to add account members, but we cannot change an account name or alias name.
During a Webex session, it was determined that there were no entries in the Planning HSP_LOCK table."
