Purpose
This document provides an overview of strategic plans and the future direction of Oracle Big Data Discovery.
Scope
Oracle Big Data Discovery (BDD) is a visual, intuitive product that allows analysts to find, explore, and transform complex datasets without depending on highly technical resources. Big Data Discovery achieves this by combining visualization, navigation, and powerful text search capabilities on data of any scale. BDD is powered by Apache Spark and Hadoop and optionally available on the Oracle Big Data Appliance (BDA).
