Missing USD exchange rates in W_GLOBAL_EXCH_RATE_G when configuring other global currencies in BIACM

We observed that there are two different ETL interfaces to load data into W_GLOBAL_EXCH_RATE_G.
1. SDE_ORAR122_ADAPTOR_SDE_ORA_GLOBALEXCHANGERATEGENERAL_GENERATED maping is used when all the Global Currencies are configured as same. This loaded data from W_DAY_D.
2.SDE_ORAR122_ADAPTOR_SDE_ORA_GLOBALEXCHANGERATEGENERAL mapping is used when Global Currencies are different (atleast two). This loaded data from GL_DAILY_RATES.

We configured global1 as 'USD',global2 as 'EUR' and global3 as 'CAD' and found the SDE_ORAR122_ADAPTOR_SDE_ORA_GLOBALEXCHANGERATEGENERAL is being picked up and no records are flowing from W_DAY_D for USD currency. Hence Balance_Global1_amount in W_GL_BALANCE_F has all NULL for CURR_CODE='USD'.
