OBIEE 11g/12c : Excel 2007+ Export Does Not Honour OBIEE Time Zone Preference And/Or Offset Configuration (Doc ID 2375514.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 13, 2019

Applies to:

Business Intelligence Reporting and Publishing - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Timezone offset has been configured in BI Presentation Service component in instanceconfig.xml configuration file by referring Doc ID 953881.1

For example , with above configuration -

Timestamp attribute is showing following value : 20.2.2017 12:08:41 (while in database there is following value stored: 20.2.2017 7:08:41)

Timestamped data shifted (correctly) by 5 hours

When same report is exported into Excel2007+ , instead of having the same timeshift of 5 hrs as can be sees in OBIEE UI , data are shifted in Excel just for only 1 hr (preferred timezone applied) or for 4 hrs (Offset timezone applied)

Analytics application is showing expected date but when same report is exported to excel 2007+ , there is difference in date/time values.
Issue did not resolve even after applying Patch 26551922

1. Timezone offset has been configured in OBIPS instanceconfig.xml file

2. Timezone preference has been set under my account > preferences or configured in OBIPS instanceconfig.xml
