OBIEE 12c: Column Formula May Not Match Bin Setting When Bin Created Based On the Same Column

Symptoms

When you add several identical column on 'Criteria' tab and setting 'Bin' separately, all 'Column formula' of columns will be the same setting as the last setting.

Steps to reproduce:

This can be reproduced with Sample Sales Lite.

1. Create an analysis with column "Products"."Product Number" ".
2. Select the column and click 'Edit Formula.' Navigate to 'Bin' tab.
3. Click 'Add Bin' and select any value.

Ex.
Operator : is equal to /is in
Value : 1
Bin Name : A

4. Click 'OK'

5. Add column "Products"."Product Number" ".

6. Select the column and Click 'Edit Formula.' Navigate to 'Bin' tab.
7. Click 'Add Bin' and select any value.

Ex.
Operator : is equal to /is in
Value : 2
Bin Name : B

8. Click 'OK'

9. Add column "Products"."Product Number" ".
10. Select the column and Click 'Edit Formula.' Navigate to 'Bin' tab.
11. Click 'Add Bin' and select any value.

Ex.
Operator : is equal to /is in
Value : 3
Bin Name : C

12. Click 'OK'.

13. Save Analytics as name.(Ex: Bin_Test)
14. Open Analytics Bin_Test.
15. Verify 'Column formula' tab of all Column.  All 'Column formula' has set as below.

CASE WHEN "Products"."Product Number" = 3 THEN 'C' ELSE '' END
