Unable to Start Essbase OPMN Service After Changing DCOM/Service Account User Password

Symptoms

Unable to start Essbase OPMN Service, errors with:

Windows could not start the Oracle Process Manager (EPM_essbase) service on Local Computer.
Error 1053: The service did not respond the start or control request in a timely fashion.

The \Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\epmsystem1\diagnostics\logs\OPMN\opmn\opmn.log file has the following errors:
