Symptoms

In an OBIEE 12c EBS integrated environment, whenever an user performs any action on the analytics, bi_server1-diagnostic.log will be filled up with the below error messages:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[APP: bi-security] [partition-name: DOMAIN] [tenant-name: GLOBAL] [J2EE_APP.name: bi-security] [J2EE_MODULE.name: bi-security] [WEBSERVICE.name: SecurityWebService] [WEBSERVICE_PORT.name: SecurityWebServicePort] [SI-Key: ssi] Could not fetch application ole/grants for: authenticated-role[[
oracle.security.jps.service.policystore.PolicyObjectNotFoundException:
JPS-10151: Application role authenticated-role does not exist    at
oracle.security.jps.internal.policystore.entitymanager.impl.ApplicationRoleManagerImpl.getApplicationRole(ApplicationRoleManagerImpl.java:4518) at
oracle.security.jps.internal.policystore.entitymanager.impl.ApplicationRoleManagerImpl.getAppRole(ApplicationRoleManagerImpl.java:5892)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If user has OHS (http server), then OHS logs will be filled up with the below error messages:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ap_proxy: trying GET /analytics/res/v-DBoTHFvj6ls/sk_Alta/catalog/rename_ena.png at backend host 140.xx.xxx.xxx/40511, client 166.xxx.xxx.xxx/61619, total tries 1; got exception 'WRITE_ERROR_TO_CLIENT [os error=0, line 582 of BaseProxy.cpp]: '; state: writing response body to client; not failing over, referer https://hostname/analytics/saw.dll?catalog

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

However, if user login to EM and search for the "authenticated-role", you will be able to find it. This error message is misleading. Because of these continuous error messages in logs, the disk space is being occupied by huge logs.
