Symptoms

You are upgrading OBI 12c version12.2.1.3 to 12.2.1.4 (note: this can occur upgrading from lower versions as well).

The upgrade assistant fails at step 9 of 9 with error 'Failed to rebase services due to Database schema update required, but InitializeDbIfRequired flag is not set'




The upgrade assistant log displays the following error

 

[OBI 12.2.1.4 ORACLE_HOME]/oracle_common/upgrade/logs/uaYYYY-MM-DD-HH-MM-SS.log
