Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) Opens many more Database Connections than Prior Releases resulting in Error "TNS-12519: TNS:no appropriate service handler found" (Doc ID 2395645.1)

HFM applications run Oracle Database, out of PROCESSES causing various errors in HFM and other EPM products. Exact errors vary due to timing of error and state of Oracle database.

HFM application(s) may fail to open:

EPMHFM-66054 The system was unable to find the Datasource process for application XXX

HFM application ODL logs will contain errors like the following:
