OBIEE 12c: Cells Get Merged In SmartView When You Set "Repeat In Each Row" In The "Table View Properties" (Doc ID 2415505.1)

Symptoms

Using SmartView, the Excel cells may get merged when inserting the following table view.

The style of OBIEE table view is set to "Duplicate values: Repeat in each row " in "Table View Properties."

You can see this issue on SmartView version 11.1.2.5.720, and 11.1.2.5.800

 

Steps to replicate the scenario (using SampleAppLite):

1. Login to OBIEE and create a new analysis with the below columns selected.

Products.LOB
Products.Product
Base Facts.Revenue
Base Facts"."Billed Quantity

2. Click "Result" Tab, and select "Table" , Click "Edit View"
3. Click "Table View Properties", Check "Repeat in each row" in "Duplicate values" section, and Click "OK"


4. Save the Analytics.
5. In Excel, connect to OBIEE via SmartView, and insert the table view that was created in the step4.

You can see the cells in the Products.LOB column are merged in SmartView.
