OBIA 11g: ETL Steps Are NOT Truncating Target Tables After Reset Of Data Warehouse (Doc ID 2425025.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 06, 2019

Applies to:

Business Intelligence Applications Consumer - Version 11.1.1.10.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After a Data Warehouse reset, the step in charge of truncating the target table in a SDE step is not doing so. And IS_INCREMENTAL variable is evaluated to 'N'.

Notice that Data Warehouse reset only deletes entries in the W_ETL_LOAD_DATES that are needed, it does not truncate SDS load entries nor the actual target tables. After a DW reset the ETL during the following Full Load will truncate the target tables before the insert step when no entry of it is found in the w_etl_load_dates.
- Problem is that such is not happening (!)
