Symptoms
You are installing Oracle Business Intelligence 12c (12.2.1.4) on Windows.
During the installation you have configured via the GUI installer, the DOMAIN_HOME to be outside the ORACLE_HOME (which is a recommended configuration to separate the binaries from the configuration).
For example:
ORACLE_HOME=C:\app\middleware\oracle_home
DOMAIN_HOME=C:\app\middleware\domains\bi
During the installation, the installer completes successfully; however, when running 'status.cmd', you notice that the OBI Server (obis1) is not created or running.
In the Configuration Assistant logs, you see;
C:\Program Files\Oracle\Inventory\logs\configYYYY-MM-DD_HH-MM-SSPM\CreateDefaultBIServiceInstance.out
