Using "Stop EPM System" command from Windows Start Menu or Running stop.bat does not Stop EPM services. (Doc ID 2436775.1)

Symptoms

The Oracle EPM Windows services are not stopped when running "Stop EPM System" command from Windows Start menu --> All Programs --> Oracle EPM System --> <EPM instance name> --> Foundation --> Stop EPM System or from other shortcuts or by running the stop.bat from DRIVE:<ORACLE_HOME>\Middleware\user_projects\<instancename>\bin\stop.bat

The EPM stopper logs in  DRIVE: <ORACLE_HOME>\Middleware\user_projects\<instancename>\diagnostics\logs\starter\ directory,  for example stopperXXXXXXXXXX.log, show the following error

 Fail [T=2] [000 min 00 sec] Stopping EpmaServer (HyS9EPMAServer_epmsystem1 doesn't exist)

 Fail [T=3] [000 min 00 sec] Stopping Essbase (OracleProcessManager_EPM_epmsystem1 doesn't exist)

 Fail [T=2] [000 min 00 sec] Stopping EssbaseStudio (HyS9EssbaseStudio_epmsystem1 doesn't exist)

 Fail [T=3] [000 min 00 sec] Stopping RMI (HyS9RMIRegistry_epmsystem1 doesn't exist)

 Fail [T=1] [000 min 00 sec] Stopping EPMServer (HyS9EPMServer_epmsystem1 doesn't exist)

 Pass [T=3] [000 min 08 sec] Total
