Hyperion Planning: System is Unresponsive (Doc ID 2438748.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 23, 2022

Applies to:

Hyperion Planning - Version 11.1.2.3.700 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Planning is unresponsive.  A restart of Planning resolves the issue temporarily.  There are 'OutofMemory' errors in the Planning logs, but increasing the Java heap sizes do not work.

The following messages can be found in the Planning0.log:

####<Jun 14, 2018 8:25:35 AM EDT> <Info> <Store> <ServerName> <Planning0> <[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '0' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'> <> <> <> <1528979135991> <BEA-280008> <Opening the persistent file store "WLS_DIAGNOSTICS" for recovery: directory=D:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\EPMSystem\servers\Planning0\data\store\diagnostics requestedWritePolicy="Disabled" fileLockingEnabled=true driver="wlfileio3".>
