Purging the Cache In a Clustered Environment Does Not Work in all Nodes (Doc ID 2446859.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 30, 2020

Business Intelligence Server Enterprise Edition - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

You have a clustered OBIEE environment with two nodes (obis1 and obis2).

Each instance has its own NQSConfig.INI file which specifies a shared global cache location as well as their own unique Data storage path: /var/appl/obiee/cache/obis1 and /var/appl/obiee/cache/obis2.

GLOBAL_CACHE_STORAGE_PATH = "/var/appl/obiee/cache"

You are following the stems in Doc ID 1401120.1 to purge the cache, using a linux command line script which runs:

nqcmd -d AnalyticsWeb -u $USER -p $PWD -s $SQL -o $LOG

The script completes successfully, but only clears the cache for one of the cache locations and NOT both. (e.g. /var/appl/obiee/cache/obis1 is cleared but /var/appl/obiee/cache/obis2 is not)
