Symptoms

After upgrading the of Java bundled with EPM from Java 1.6.0 Update 35 to Java 1.6 Update 121+ or Java 1.7 Update 101+, APS is unable to connect to SSL enabled Essbase.  The /Oracle/Middleware/user_projects/domains/EPMSystem/servers/AnalyticProviderServices0apsserver.log and /Oracle/Middleware/user_projects/epmsystem1/diagnostics/logs/essbase/essbase/Essbase.log have the following errors:

apsserver.log:
