OBIEE 12c: Error: "[nQSError: 14061] Specified drill-down selection does not exist." When Drilling through Hierarchy (Doc ID 2471618.1)

On Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition(OBIEE) Version,

  1. The Drill-down functionality does not work after migration from OBIEE 11g while using more than 16 columns in the analysis.
  2. If the number of columns reduced, drill down works as expected.
  3. Tried the solution provided in the following KM document - "Hierarchy Drilling Issues In OBIEE and Linux (Doc ID 2191004.1)" i.e., applied the patch <Patch 24566569>, still issue persists.
  4. When drilling through hierarchical object in analysis with more than 16 columns, getting the below error.

Error generating view. Process action error.


An error occurred while trying to generate drill down query.

Odbc driver returned an error (SQLExecDirectW).

State: HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. (HY000)

State: HY000. Code: 43113. [nQSError: 43113] Message returned from OBIS. (HY000)

State: HY000. Code: 14061. [nQSError: 14061] Specified drill-down selection does not exist. (HY000)
