Purpose

This document describes the capabilities of the AppConfig implementation in the current versions of Oracle BI Mobile Security Toolkit (STK) as of November 2018.

This applies to version 20.0.0 and higher.

Scope

This document will outline the out-of-the box configuration properties the Oracle BI Mobile STK supports for both Android and iOS via adherence to the AppConfig enterprise mobility management (EMM) standards.  It will not go into detail of specific implementation techniques, but rather will defer in those instances to the relevant documentation for each mobile platform (Android & iOS) respectively.

Note: As of January 1, 2019, it was communicated on OTN that the the approach of using an unsigned application  was end of life.  We no longer stage and provide the repackaged, unsigned and uncertified version of the Oracle BI Mobile HD application, delivered at the library level.  These are no longer necessary with AppConfig. Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) tools simply obtain the app from the respective app stores.
