"Test UCM Connection" Button Is Giving Error In OACS BIACM For FSSO Enable HCM Fusion Source (Doc ID 2481668.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 06, 2018

Applies to:

Business Intelligence Applications Consumer - Version 11.1.1.10.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

While adding Fusion HCM cloud as source in "Define Business Intelligence Applications Instance" for source configuration, we needed to provide the UCM connection information. It fails with "Invalid Connection Information". Screenshot is attached.
HCM cloud source has FSSO security enabled and we use a system account to configure the source in OACS.
There were few SRs earlier for this which asked us to change the UCM URL in ODI studio manually to include "_dav" i.e. "https://host.oraclecloud.com/_dav/cs/idcplg/"

Even though we are able to download files in ODI using the workaround, the "Test UCM Connection" button still gives the error. When do we expect this to be fixed?

Changes

The "Test UCM Connection" in BIACM was working when FSSO was not enabled in HCM cloud.
After the FSSO is enabled, it was not working.

The solution is to edit the connection in ODI studio and use "_dav" in the URL. After this change ODI was able to download the UCM files but the "Test UCM Connection" in BIACM still didn't work.
