OBIEE 12c: Union Of Two Data Sets In Answers Does not Show Correct Totals

Symptoms
You have created an analysis based on the union of two Subject Areas which have been created from Data Sets, you have added a Table view and have enabled subtotals and grand totals for it.
When you display the results only the first row of data is taken into account. You have edited the column in the criteria tab and set the "Aggregation Rule (Totals Row)" attribute to "Sum" but the problem persists.
If you use each data set individually, the results are displayed correctly.
