Last updated on DECEMBER 03, 2019

Applies to:

Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

In OBIEE , when using UNION reports for measure columns that has many decimal places (Example :  5,977.350000000005820) and performing mathematical expressions among them ( such as addition, subtraction etc), the resultant values are incorrect after 15th decimal place.

Example : 5,977.350000000005820 at the database level is shown as 5,977.350000000001000 on OBIEE front end.

The number of decimal places can be edited for a particular column in the analysis under Column Properties -> Data Format -> Override default data format and this can be set up-to 15 digits.

When exporting the same into Excel and Open using any versions of Excel application, the same behaviour can be observed.
