OBIEE 12c: JavaHost Server Diagnostic Log May not be Output When Maximum File Size is Set to a Large Value (Doc ID 2545066.1)

Symptoms

The JavaHost Server main diagnostic log (jh.log) may not be output when 'Maximum File Size' (default: 10240 KB) is set to a Large Value (e.g. 102400 KB) by using Fusion Middleware Control.

The following output is observed in <DomainHome>/servers/obijh<N>/logs/obijh<N>.out when this condition is met :
Logging configuration class "oracle.core.ojdl.logging.LoggingConfiguration" failed
oracle.core.ojdl.logging.LoggingConfigurationException: ODL-52053: unable to create handler instance using class 'oracle.core.ojdl.logging.ODLHandlerFactory'; exception: oracle.core.ojdl.logging.HandlerFactoryException: ODL-52034: Configuration is invalid: maxLogSize cannot be less than maxFileSize.

Changes

'Maximum File Size' is set to a Large Value in Fusion Middleware Control.
