OBIEE 12c: Two SQL Sessions Created When Executing DDR Reports (Doc ID 2571198.1)

On: Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition

When a direct database request(DDR) is executed, it creates two SQL sessions that can be verified by querying V$SQL_MONITOR. This leads to additional overhead to the database and causes performance issue.

First SQL session runs for sometime and the status becomes "DONE (FIRST N ROWS)" and then second one starts for the same DDR SQL and completes with status "DONE (ALL ROWS)"

The behavior can be monitored by executing the below query when the agent is running :
