OBIEE 12c: The Access To My Folders Is Denied After Changing The Login User In Smart View (Doc ID 2597791.1)

Symptoms

If you change the login user in Smart View, the access to "My Folders" will be denied, and an error message "OBIEE: Catalog object access denied" will be displayed in the pop-up.


This symptom can be reproduced with the following steps:

1. Start Excel and click "Smart View > Panel > Private Connections > Create new Connection > Oracle BI EE".

2. Input "http://hostname:port/analytics/jbips" in URL,  user credential in "User Name" and "Password", then click "Connect" button. You can expand "My Folders" here.

3. Click "Disconnect All" link, and login with the other user. When you try to expand My Folders by double click, the access will be denied and the following error pop up:

      OBIEE:Catalog object access denied
