Symptoms

Randomly, you get connection errors while end users are working with the system.

For example, while working on the Analytics UI ( http(s)://<server>:<port>/analytics and trying to show the results of an analysis you get:

There was an error processing the request. Contact the site administrator.

Or, when working with Smartview and trying to insert a view you get:

Cannot connect to provider. The attempt to connect to the server failed, ensure the server is running in the specified URL.
