OBIEE 12C: Accessing Dashboard Intermittently Errors With : "ORA-03135:connection lost contact" (Doc ID 2640398.1)

Symptoms

Users accessing the dashboard get below errors. Once refresh or logout and then login it works

State HY000 Code: 10058 [NQODBC][SQL_STATE:HY000][nQSError:10058] A genral error has occurred. {HY000}
State HY000 Code: 43113. [nQSError:43113] Message returned from OBIS.(HY000)
State HY000 Code: 43119. [nQSError:43119] Query Faild:(HY000)
State HY000 Code: 17001. [nQSError:17001] Oracle Error code:3135. message: ORA-03135:connection lost contact Process ID:35218 Session ID: 1631 Serial number:11236 at OCI call OCIStntExecute.(HY000)
State:HY000 Code: 17010.[nQSError.17010] SQL statement preparation failed.(HY000)

 

Changes

 Recently upgraded OBIEE 12c environment from 12.2.1.2 to 12.2.1.4.
