OBIEE 12c: After Configuring BISQLGroupProvider for User Authorization in OBIEE 12c, Login Hangs Intermittently

After configuring BISQLGroup Provider in Weblogic Console for OBIEE, The authorization is working as expected. User login works fine.
However after some days, the user login is hung or throws "Access Denied" error intermittently. This issue is observed frequently multiple times over a week and the application is restored to working state only after the restart of services.
It could be observed that the JDBC connections of the BISQLGroupProvider datasource are getting accumulated and remain in IDLE state.
