OAS - Custom Calculations With "Filter ... Using ..." Not Working (Doc ID 2686398.1)

Last updated on JULY 02, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Analytics Server - Version 5.5.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In Data Visualization

You create a project using a subject area and a data set created from an excel file.

Those two are joined correctly.

You are facing an issue when creating a custom calculation using the "filter ... using ..." function.

If you define it in this way:

filter <metric from the excel file> using <attribute from the subject area>

The <attribute from the subject area> can not be drag and drop to the formula

and when you try to drag and drop it, the "using" expression from the formula disappears.

The issue is only with that combination.

And the following scenarios work:

- filter <metric from the excel file> using <attribute from the excel file>

- filter <metric from the subject area> using <attribute from the subject area>

- filter <metric from the subject area> using <attribute from the excel file>
