Hyperion Planning: Delay in Receiving Workflow Email Notifications

Symptoms
During approval workflow system receiving the email notification only after 40-50 mins. There is no issue from the email server because when sending the email from telnet the email is triggering immediately. Email delay is there for all users.
Changes
Recently configured SMTP server and installed EPM 11.1.2.4.900 base version and on top applied latest Planning patch.
