After Upgrade To Oracle Analytics Server (OAS), Formula Columns With A CASE Function Does Not Work Correctly (Doc ID 2717493.1)

Symptoms

After upgrading from OBIEE 11g to OBIEE 12.2.1.4 and then to OAS 5.5, found that formula columns based on the CASE statement similar to the following (example is based on SampleApp RPD)  doesn't work correctly in OAS 5.5.

However, formula column in the same report works correctly in OBIEE 11g and 12c:
