Hyperion Planning: Application does not Open Correctly when a PDF is the Start Up Page in Workspace (Doc ID 2742213.1)

Symptoms


When the  Start Up Page in Workspace is set to a PDF document, the Planning application does not open as normal. A blank window appears at the top of the window and the Planning application opens in the bottom panel. However the application does not open fully and is stuck.


Home Page preference of PDF file should not affect Planning applications however this is not the case.

1. After logging into Workspace, go to File --> Preferences
2. In General tab, under Default Startup Options, change the Content to PDF and select a PDF file
3. Logout and Login back
4. The startup options works fine and opens the PDF file properly.
5. However open the Planning application and notice that a new panel appears at the top and Planning application appears at the bottom section. But does not open fully and gets stuck.
