Hyperion Planning : Hyperion Planning Dimension Access Cannot be Assigned to Some of the Active Directory Security Groups (Doc ID 2756807.1)

Hyperion Planning dimension access cannot be assigned to some of the Active Directory (AD) security groups whereas access provisioning to native groups works fine. Although these groups are visible in the list of available groups but while trying to edit the security information, these groups cannot be edited.

While reviewing the planning logs, following error messages are recorded:

Log file name - Planning_WebApp.log

java.lang.RuntimeException: Errors occured during syncrhonization: [ORA-00001: unique constraint (HyperionPlanning_SchemaName.PARENT_NAME) violated

[APP: PLANNING#11.1.2.0] [SRC_CLASS: com.hyperion.planning.adf.artifact.datacontrol.HspManageArtifactsDC] [SRC_METHOD: saveSecurity] MSG_SYNC_WITH_PROVISIONING_FAILED[[com.hyperion.planning.HspRuntimeException: Failed to sync user with identity msad://OBJECTGUID=\fe\0e\6e\d3\58\6d\ac\4d\b0\88\d7\fa\c0\09\0d\c2?GROUP with user provisioning.

[APP: PLANNING#11.1.2.0] [SRC_CLASS: com.hyperion.css.facade.CSSAPIFacade] [SRC_METHOD: getUserByIdentity] Failed to get user with identity msad://OBJECTGUID=\fe\0e\6e\d3\58\6d\ac\4d\b0\88\d7\fa\c0\09\0d\c2?GROUP. Invalid identity. Provide valid identity to get user.
