Information in this document applies to any platform.
During testing of Oracle Analytics Server (OAS), it is observed that in a horizontal scale-out cluster environment downloads and export intermittently fail.
Each node in the cluster includes all system components.
- Scenario 1:
If the <property name="system-temp-dir">[location]</property> parameter in the xdo.cfg is configured to a shared directory location, then the exports work 100% of the time.
- Scenario 2:
If the <property name="system-temp-dir">[location]</property> parameter in the xdo.cfg is configured to a local directory location, then:
- if only one node at a time is running, the exports work 100% of the time.
- if all nodes are running, the exports intermittently fail.
The exports appear to work when the requests are routed to the Presentation Server and JavaHost on the same nodes and they fail when an Presentation Server sends the request to a JavaHost on another node.
The scenarios also occur in Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI, OBIEE)
