Error "ODI-10147: Repository type mismatches" When Starting the FDMEE Service (Doc ID 2780671.1)

Symptoms

Starting ErpIntergrator services from windows console returns with an error in the log:

oracle.odi.core.config.NotMasterRepositorySchemaException: ODI-10147: Repository type mismatches.
PreparedStatementCallback; bad SQL grammar [select * from SNP_LOC_REP]; nested exception is java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist

at oracle.odi.core.repository.Repository.getMasterRepository(Repository.java:117)
at oracle.odi.core.OdiInstance.createMasterRepository(OdiInstance.java:615)
